The Andrea Foundation For EDS
Welcome!
Many individuals living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) struggle to find optimal healthcare and specialized support. The Andrea Foundation for EDS was established to fill this gap. Our mission is to raise global awareness and provide education about this hereditary condition. We empower patients to deeply understand their syndrome and face life’s challenges with newfound optimism.
Committed to Helping
As a non-profit organization, we are powered by a dedicated team committed to making a difference. We are driven by a refusal to let the EDS community suffer in silence; for us, raising awareness is more than a task—it is a vocation. While our mission is ambitious, providing patients with the knowledge they need brings us profound fulfillment.
However, we cannot achieve this alone. We rely on your generosity to reach those in need. Your support helps us transform lives, fostering a community that is informed, resilient, and hopeful.
Our Mission and Impact
The Andrea Foundation for EDS is built on a reliable mission: to bring vital EDS awareness to the global community. For years, we have been dedicated to educating the public, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to this cause. By volunteering for our fundraising events, you play a direct role in reducing the burden faced by patients living with this condition.
By donating your valuable time, we can make incredible things possible. Whether through service or financial support, every contribution—no matter how small—makes a significant impact on the lives of those affected by EDS. When we work together, our goals become achievable.
An Expert & Dedicated Team
The Andrea Foundation is supported by a team of highly informed professionals and volunteers who are experts in EDS-related information. We ensure that every member of our organization is thoroughly trained and aligned with our mission. This expertise allows us to spread awareness effectively, giving you the peace of mind that your support is being managed by a capable and transparent team.
Our team assist health care service providers to understand the specific needs and difficult issues of many individuals who live with EDS. Since there are a variety of cases wherein doctors cannot find the real illness of people who have the disease, we want to support them to know concrete information. Hence, we are very passionate to help health care professionals handle EDS – affected people with the best service as possible.
Our Goal
Education and Professional Training
We aim to educate law enforcement, child protective services, childcare providers, and educators at all levels—from primary schools to universities. Additionally, we provide specialized training for professional sports teams. By equipping these professionals with comprehensive knowledge of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), we ensure they can communicate effectively and compassionately with those affected. Most importantly, we prepare them to handle medical emergencies, such as chronic dislocations and severe joint pain, with confidence and skill.
Awareness and Advocacy
Our mission is to dismantle common misconceptions about EDS and alleviate the suffering of those living with the condition. The Andrea Foundation is dedicated to providing dependable, evidence-based information, guiding patients and families toward the resources and care they deserve.
Building the Future of Care
We are committed to the ambitious mission of establishing our own Genetic Research and Medical Center, specifically designed to provide groundbreaking treatment and support for patients suffering from EDS.
